SECOBRA IS PRESENT IN ABTS 2026 at GEELONG

SECOBRA expanded operations to Australia in 2017, building on long-term collaborative research with the University of Adelaide and hiring former university barley breeders, Amanda Box, to develop and commercialize malt barley varieties for local and export markets.
SECOBRA conducts cereal breeding operations in Australia focused on developing high-quality malting and feed barley varieties tailored to local climatic zones, managed by locally based breeder.
In term of collaborations, SECOBRA partners with national initiatives like the OzBarley Initiative alongside CSIRO, SARDI, DPIRD, AEGIC, University of Adelaide, Latrobe, Syndney, Queensland…. . To advance genetic pipelines, SECOBRA connect with local barley related business such as bulk handlers (CBH https://www.cbh.com.au/ ); masters (SOUFFLET Malt, Boortmalt, Malteurop, Coopers) and breweries (Asahi (Carlton & United Breweries), Lion, and Coopers mainly).
SECOBRA Recherches is a member of Australian Crop Breeders Ltd (ACB; https://australiancropbreeders.com.au/ ) since its creation in March 2020. ACB is a national advocacy group representing public and private crop breeding organizations in Australia.
